Durham Pubs (June 1997)

For Stu's 21st birthday, we decided to go on an epic bar crawl, round almost every pub in Durham. We planned out a route and timetable in advance, starting at 11am and allowing 20 minutes in each pub (30 minutes per pub in the afternoon), and sent out invitations. We had an excellent day, and got round 18 of the 20 pubs we planned, drinking a half or a pint in each; the other two pubs were closed. There was even time to go to a couple of college bars afterwards. Stu had a great souvenir of the day too, as we got each barman or landlord's autograph as we went round!

Here are the photos of us outside all the pubs, starting with the timetable, and finishing with the page of autographs. The photos are in the order we visited the pubs, from left to right in each row down the page. Click on each photo to see the full version.
